This wine shows enticing ruby red colour with alluring elegant notes of spiced red cherries, subtle jamon and tangy cloves on the nose. Vibrant yet elegant acidity has mouthwatering appeal leading into truffle, subtle aniseed, savoury tobacco hints and a finish of dark cherry, faint milk chocolate and again tangy spiced cloves. Try this with double cooked duck breast.

WOW! I have never in my 24+ years drinking wine seen a premier cru Burgundy at this price. Especially not a Gevrey Chambertin, one of my favorites! Gevrey is more masculin than many Burgundies and would better suit the Kiwi pallet, accustomed as we are here to fuller bodied Pinot Noir than your typical Burgundy.
