- An amazing Marlborough Gewurztraminer
- Drinking beautifully, incredible value

Gerwürztraminer (Gerwürz means spice in German) is a fragrant and heady white grape that produces classic wines in the Alsace, France. Australian producers have been wary of growing this variety, but outstanding examples show that this wine can excel here. The best come from the cooler climates of Central Victoria, Tasmania and Adelaide Hills.
In Alsace it is the second most widely planted grape, where it is particularly well suited to the clay-rich soils of the region. It is also planted in Germany, Austria, the Alto Adige in Italy, with a small number of quality producers in New Zealand. Although the wines are normally fermented dry, they can taste sweet. Exotic, unctuous and heady aromas of lychees, rose petals/water and white peaches.
