    • Description

Organised Chaos is a Hawke's Bay producer focused on small-batch wines that emphasise fruit purity and approachability. Their 2023 Syrah is crafted in a vibrant, youthful style, intended to showcase the variety’s aromatic lift and natural freshness.

In 2023, grapes were hand-picked and fermented with wild yeast. After a week of post-ferment maceration, the wine was pressed and held in stainless steel to preserve energy and primary fruit character. Minimal extraction and no oak ageing emphasised freshness and drinkability.

The resulting wine is bright and expressive, with raspberry, blackberry and cracked-pepper notes. The palate is light-bodied with crunchy acidity and minimal tannin, making it a lively, fruit-driven Syrah ideally suited to being served slightly chilled.
