    • Description

Tolpuddle Vineyard, established in Tasmania's Coal River Valley in 1988 and a pioneer for modern Australian Pinot, crafts this 2024 Pinot Noir exclusively from hand-tended vines on its east-facing slopes. The fruit was destemmed with partial whole-bunch inclusion, wild-fermented, and aged in French oak barriques (about one-third new) for nine months, with minimal intervention to highlight purity and tension. The resulting wine is vibrant, layered with dark cherry, raspberry, and subtle spice, structured by fine tannins and a core of cool-climate acidity. Drinking beautifully on release, it will reward careful cellaring and excels with duck, game, or earthy mushroom dishes.
